Moscow Mule
The Moscow Mule was born in 1941, marking a milestone in the promotion of vodka in the United States. At the time, John Martin, the distributor of Smirnoff Vodka, met with Jack Morgan, the owner of the Cock 'n' Bull bar in Los Angeles. Both were struggling to sell their respective products—vodka and homemade ginger beer. They had a brilliant idea to mix the two drinks and serve them in a copper mug owned by Morgan's girlfriend, thus creating this iconic cocktail. The copper mug not only keeps the drink cold but also adds visual appeal, becoming a symbol of the cocktail.
