Southside

The Southside cocktail may have originated in Chicago during the 1920s Prohibition era, allegedly a favorite of the South Side gangs who used mint to mask the taste of poor-quality gin. Another theory suggests it originated at the South Shore Club on Long Island, New York. Regardless, it has become a beloved refreshing mint cocktail.

Flavor
The Southside cocktail features a refreshing mint flavor and bright citrus notes, with the botanicals of the gin balancing the lemon's acidity and the sweetness of the syrup, while the egg white adds a silky texture.
