Zombie (1934 Edition)

The Zombie cocktail was created in 1934 in Hollywood by legendary bartender Don Beach (also known as Don the Beachcomber), and it is a representative of tropical cocktails. It is said that its name comes from the effect of the drink, making people walk like zombies due to its extremely high alcohol content. It is a signature drink of American Tiki culture, blending various flavors of Caribbean rum and tropical fruits.

Flavor
The Zombie cocktail blends the complex flavors of three types of rum, from sweet caramel and vanilla to nutty and smoky notes. Fresh lime juice provides a refreshing acidity, while falernum and Don's Mix add tropical spice and citrus notes. Pomegranate syrup contributes sweetness and color, while Angostura bitters and anise liqueur add complex herbal layers.
