Little Devil

Little Devil

It looks innocent, but it’s anything but. Red like spilled chili syrup, the sweetness and intensity hit you all at once. Each sip feels like a little devil’s bite—painful, but more清醒. (Note: '清醒' translates to '清醒' in English, but it might be better to use 'refreshing' or 'sobering' in this context.)

Method

  1. 01

Chill the cocktail glass in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to ensure it is thoroughly cold.

  2. 02

Prepare the rim decoration: evenly coat the outer rim of the glass with thick syrup, then invert the glass onto a plate of salt and gently rotate to ensure the salt adheres evenly, forming a complete salt rim.

  3. 03

In a shaker, add 25ml of tequila, 25ml of Cointreau, 20ml of grapefruit juice, and 15ml of lemon juice.

  4. 04

Add enough ice to the shaker (about 2/3 full), and securely close the shaker.

  5. 05

Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is frosted and feels cold.

  6. 06

Remove the chilled cocktail glass from the refrigerator and strain the cocktail into the glass using a strainer, being careful not to disturb the salt rim.

  7. 07

Using a bar spoon, gently drop 2 drops of pomegranate syrup onto the center of the cocktail surface, allowing it to naturally sink to the bottom, creating a blood-red gradient effect.

  8. 08

    Rim decoration: thick syrup to create a salt rim (syrup acts as an adhesive, attaching fine salt evenly around the rim to form a 3-5mm wide salt ring);

  9. 09

Cocktail decoration: 2 drops of pomegranate syrup to create a blood-red gradient effect at the bottom of the glass
